Event Description
Dale Bumpers was one of Arkansas' most successful politicians in the last half of the twentieth century. He served as the 38th Governor of Arkansas and then in the US Senate from 1975-1999. Senator Bumpers is known for his oratorical skills and for his prodigious respect for the Constitution of the United States. Bumpers has long been an advocate for agriculture and agricultural research in the state. Bumpers, a self-declared close friend of President Clinton, gave an impassioned closing argument in defense of him during Clinton's impeachment trial. The course will culminate in a Q and A session with Senator Bumpers.
The cost of the class is $39.00. For more information, call 479-575-4545 or e-mail at olli@uark.edu.
