Saturday Night with Nasim Pedrad
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.—University Programs hosts Saturday Night Live cast member, Nasim Pedrad with opener SNL writer, Claire Mulaney. The show is Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 8 p.m. in the Verizon Ballroom at the Arkansas Union.
This event is free to current University of Arkansas Fayetteville students who pay the student activities fee. Students must show ID for entrance. Admission for general public and non-fee-paying students is contingent upon seating availability and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis after fee-paying students are admitted. The University Programs Comedy Committee brings Saturday Night Live cast member, Nasim Pedrad with opener Claire Mulaney. Pedrad has been an SNL favorite for five seasons, displaying her impressions of Kim Kardashian, Barbara Walters and Arianna Huffington. Outside of Saturday Night Live, Pedrad voices several characters in the Hulu original series, “The Awesomes” by fellow Saturday Night Live cast member, Seth Meyers. Earlier in her career, Pedrad performed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles. There she debuted her one-woman show entitled, “Me, Myself and Iran”. This show was selected for the 2007 HBO Comedy Festival in Las Vegas.
Opener, Claire Mulaney, is a comedian and writer for Saturday Night Live. Mulaney has done outstanding work behind the scenes of SNL as a writer for the show. She has written for a multitude of episodes including shows hosted by Seth Rogen and Ed Sheeran, Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake, Tina Fey and Arcade Fire, Lady Gaga and many more.
Nasim Pedrad and Claire Mulaney are talented and innovative comedians that will provide a Saturday night the audience will not forget.
