Upright Citizens Brigade at Verizon Ballroom
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.—University Programs will host the Upright Citizens Brigade, featuring Matt Besser and Horatio Sanz, September 27, 2013 at 7 p.m. in the Verizon Ballroom at the University of Arkansas Union.
This event is free to current University of Arkansas Fayetteville students through the Student Activities Fee, and students must show university ID for entrance. Admission for general public is free and contingent upon availability. The Upright Citizens Brigade is a long form sketch comedy show that has helped launch the careers of numerous comedians and improvisers. Coming with the UCB Touring Company will be Arkansas native and founding member of the UCB, Matt Besser, along with Horatio Sanz of Saturday Night Live. Moving to New York in 1996, Besser and the UCB created two theatres in New York City and added one in Los Angeles in 2005. Besser’s group appeared on Comedy Central and continues to spread the uniquely branded comedy to audiences across the country through UCBcomedy.com. Besser has appeared on multiple TV series such as Parks and Recreation, Reno 911!, and many more. Sanz is best known for his eight years on SNL. He also played the role of “manny” in the ABC sitcom In The Motherhood. Sanz starred alongside former SNL cast mate in Big Lake, a Comedy Central series from executive producers Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. He also recently appeared in the TBS TV series Are We There Yet? The duo will make up an entire show on the spot, leaving students with a hilarious and one-of-a-kind experience.
