| The Role of Sustainability in Business-A Lecture Series on Wednesdays |

Event Description The Associated Students Government and the Applied Sustainability Center are sponsoring guest speakers who will focus on the role of sustainability in the business world. The goal is to showcase the importance of sustainability in business and to inspire students to increase their understanding and knowledge of sustainability. On April 25th, 3:30pm to 5pm, our third lecture” Women Leading Sustainable Businesses,” will take place in Willard J. Walker Hall Auditorium room 218.It will feature Jessy Lang from Good Things Boutique, Rebekah Champagne from Terra Tots, Joyce Robertson from Mountain Air Organic Beds, and Judy Paynesmith from Lean Green Cuisine. On May 2nd, 3pm to 5pm, our last lecture of “the Role of Sustainability in Business” will take place in Willard J. Walker Hall Auditorium room 218. Joe Raleigh, Sustainable Business Manager for Unilever, will discuss Unilever’s Sustainable Living Plan, how they are working with Wal-Mart to drive towards aligned sustainability goals, and why this is important socially, economically, and environmentally.
