Celebrate EID with Muslimas of U of A
The Muslima Student Organization is hosting a movie night on November 9th at 6pm at the Giffels Auditorium in the Old Mains Building. We will be showing in side Mecca by Anisa Mehdi and some fun games at the end. It is a free event of all U of a student, faculty and staff. Come enjoy free food from Indian Orchard, and movie hosted by Muslima Student organization.
Inside Mecca focuses on the journey of three Muslims of three different cultural backgrounds, traveling to Islam’s holiest city in one of the most important spiritual journey required for every Muslim, called the Hajj. Every Muslims is required to do the Hajj at least once in a lifetime. Inside Mecca documents the personal stories and the spiritual, emotional and physical obstacles three Muslims pilgrims faced. The documentary chronicles the journey of a successful executive from Malaysisa, a religious commentator from South Africa and a college professor from the United States in their journey for faith and redemption along with exclusive footage of Hajj and Mecca.
