Applications Must Be Typed
The Distinguished Lectures Committee brings dynamic and pertinent speakers to our campus. These speaking presentations or performances are completely free to all students who pay the Student Activity Fee. Students and faculty members hold an equal number of voting seats on the DLC. Eight faculty positions come from faculty senate and one faculty position represents the Rockefeller Speaker Series. One student member of the committee serves as student Chair, and four student members are called project leaders, one each to be responsible for one of the four major planning areas (Logistics, Marketing, Press and Public Relations, and Catering). The four other student members are nominated by the ASG Vice President during the Fall Semester, recommended by the ASG Student Senate, and appointed by the Vice Provost for Student Affairs.
