Event Description:
The Northwest Arkansas Chapter of ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting) and the University of Arkansas, Walton College, Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center presents: The Entrepreneurial Journey Series-Seminar 1 "Starting a Business in Arkansas."   This seminar is the first initiative within the ALPFA Northwest Arkansas Chapter to meet the growing demand of diverse Latino professionals who have expressed an interest in unlocking their entrepreneurial capabilities. The objective of this first seminar is to provide attendees valuable information on how to successfully start a small business in Northwest Arkansas. Additionally, there will be open networking opportunities before and after the official seminar presentation.  Appetizers will be available at registration from 6:00 pm-6:30 pm at no cost.  The “Starting a Small Business in Arkansas” seminar will answer many common questions about starting a business and prepare the entrepreneur for the intensive business planning process. The seminar will also highlight the major steps crucial to starting a business, identify key issues that affect business success, discuss start-up requirements as well as common pitfalls any new entrepreneur will face, and provide area resource contacts for business planning assistance. Pre-registration is required at Call 479-575-5148 for more information. Free parking is provided in the Harmon Avenue parking garage across the street from the Reynolds Center.
