Event Description:
Please join Society of Art Historians on April 10th for "A Tale of Two Canvases: Vermeer's Astronomer and Geographer" a presentation given by Dr. Wayne Franits, professor of Art History at Syracuse University. Dr. Franits is a Dutch Baroque specialist. He will lecture on Dutch Baroque Master, Jan Vermeer and two of his works, "Astronomer" and "Geographer". His lecture will take place on Thursday, April 10th at 5:30 p.m. in Room 213 of the Fine Arts Building. This event is free and open to all current University of Arkansas, Fayetteville Students as supported by the Associated Student Government through the Office of Student Activities and funded by the Student Activities Fee.
