Plan ahead to spend the Spring Semester of 2020 studying in Rome.

In addition to a full program of course options offered by the U. of A. Rome Center and our Global Campus, two interdisciplinary courses will be taught by Distinguished Professor of English William A. Quinn.
“Rome as Text, Urbs et Orbis”: To enrich our understanding of readings that survey the changing ideas of “Rome” itself from its founding to the present, class time will be primarily dedicated to the exploration of relevant sites throughout Rome and its environs. This course may be taken for three hours credit as HUMN 3923(H), HIST 4073(H), ENGL3713(H), WLIT 3983 or MRST 3023(H).

“Rome—the Rebirth of Antiquity and the Birth of Modernity”: This interdisciplinary course investigates the Italian Renaissance as a period of cultural crisis for Rome itself as well as the enduring impact of that crisis for all the World. This course may be taken for three hours credit as WLIT 3983 (H), ENGL 3723(H), MRST 3023(H), WLIT 3983 or HIST 3983(H).
