Event Description:
Over last five years, the “What Were You Wearing” art exhibit has been on display around the country. According to last year’s UARK Events description of the project- “The exhibit…garnered international recognition and media attention… [and] was developed in 2003 by STAR Central staff and has been adopted at other institutions. The exhibit has also been featured in national media publications including Huffington Post, CNN and ABC News.”

The exhibit is mean to dispel myths surrounding sexual assault, particularly regarding the impact of provocative clothing on one’s risk of sexual assault. The exhibit contains representations and descriptions of different outfits college student survivors were wearing at the time of their sexual assault. The exhibit will be on display in the International Connections Lounge all day Thursday and Friday (October 3-4, 2019).

This year’s fall exhibit is being co-sponsored by the One Book One Community program and STAR CENTRAL.
