Event Description:
What do Arkansas/ Ozark writers say about our regional culture? Explore this topic by reading and discussing four works of well-written fiction and non-fiction by regional authors: Sept. 4: John Grisham (2010) A Painted House, Oct. 2: Charles Portis (1966) Norwood, Nov. 6: John Williams (1965) Stoner, Dec. 4: Phillip Douglas Howerton (Ed.) (2019) The Literature of the Ozarks: An Anthology. Group members are expected to find their own copies of the book and to have read each title before the meeting.
