Sand Mandala closing ceremony

Event Description:
On November 17, Students for a Free Tibet will be holding a closing ceremony for the construction of a sand mandala by the venerable Geshe Yeshi Topgyal. Geshe Yeshi Topgyal is a Tibetan Monk highly trained in the art of the sand mandala. The mandala will be constructed from Monday, November 12 until Friday November 17, and all students are welcome to stop by throughout the week to view its progress. The closing ceremony on the 17th will take place from 5pm to 6pm, and will include lecture's from Geshe Yeshi Topgyal and the UofA's Geshe Thupten Dorjee. This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently-enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee.
