Lunch and Seminar with Dr. Harry Greene hosted by Biology Graduate Student Association

Event Description:
The Biology Graduate Student Association invites students to attend a luncheon and seminar presented by Dr. Harry W. Greene on Thursday, November 29th. The lunch will take place at 12:00 p.m. in SCEN 503. The seminar will be held at 3:30 p.m. in SCEN 604. Dr. Greene will be giving a seminar on important issues in vertebrate biology; the luncheon will provide a forum for students to get acquainted with him and ask questions about his research and career. Dr. Greene has a distinguished career in ecology and evolutionary biology: he is an Emeritus Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Cornell University as well as the Faculty Curator at the Cornell University Museum of Vertebrates. Dr. Greene has numerous accolades including the Stephen H. Weiss Presidential Fellowship and the E.O. Wilson Award from the American Society of Naturalists. In addition to over 160 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Greene has authored books "Tracks and Shadows: Field Biology as Art" and "Snakes: The Evolution of Mystery in Nature," which was awarded a PEN Literary Award and named a New York Times Notable Book. Dr. Greene will be available for book signing following the seminar.

This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently-enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee.
