Event Description:
Dr. Gareth Williams, chair of the department of Romance Languages and Literatures and professor of Spanish at the University of Michigan will present the public lecture 2666 or the Novel of Force Friday, Nov. 8 in Mullins Library room 104. He will examine the 2666 novel by Mexican author Roberto Bolaño, covering the genocide of hundreds of women in the city of Juarez. This event is open to the public and offered at no cost to attendees. 

The event is made possible by generous support from the Program of Latin American and Latino Studies, the Department of History, the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures, the Comparative Literature & Cultural Studies Program and the Center for Multicultural and Diversity Education.
