Event Description:
Dr. Jeffrey Allen Murdock will give a public lecture as part of the 2018 Black Music Symposium. Dr. Murdock's talk, titled "Music and Social Movements," will discuss shifts and trends in the black music tradition. 

Dr. Murdock is Assistant Professor of Music Education and Associate Director of Choral Activities in the Department of Music. In addition to his duties on the music education faculty, Dr. Murdock is the conductor of the UA Inspirational Chorale.

Lecture is free and open to the public.
