Event Description:
Please join E.S.2T.E.A.M.2 and the Association for Women in Science for an evening of inspiring education about Dr. Edith Irby Jones. Dr. Edith Irby Jones was a trailblazer for women in medicine. Dr. Jones was the first African American admitted to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1948. Learn of her personal story and impact as presented by Dr. Erick Messias, The Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs and Professor of Psychiatry at the UAMS. Thursday March 12, 2020, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The Multicultural Center Room 403 at the University of Arkansas.
