Archeology Along the Mulberry River

Event Description:
The Ko-ko-ci Chapter of the Arkansas Archeological Society will hold its meeting, Tuesday, April 10 at 7pm at the Arkansas Archeological Survey building. Guest speakers will be Timothy Mulvihill, Station Archeologist at the Arkansas Archeological Survey, UA Fort Smith Station, and Mary Brennan, Zone Archeologist, US Forest Service, retired. They will present “2017 Training Program: Collaborative Research and Management at 3FR46.” Information recovered during the 2017 Training Program at the 3FR46 site along the Mulberry River provides insight into Native American occupation dating from 600 BC to 100 AD. This talk will summarize the findings.

This event will be held at the Arkansas Archeological Survey at 2475 N. Hatch Ave., Fayetteville, off of Garland Ave., across from the Pauline Whitaker Animal Science Center. Refreshments served. Free and open to the public.
