Event Description:
John DuVal, Professor of English and Creative Writing in the U of A M.F.A. Program in Creative Writing and Translation, will deliver the 2019 Roper Lecture, "On the Trail of Esteban," at 4:00 pm, Friday, September 20th in JB Hunt 0148.

Esteban was the first African known to explore North America and one of the heroes of Colonial North American history.

The Roper Lectures are delivered by present and former Roper Professors in grateful honor of benefactors James E. and Ellen Wadley Roper.
