Event Description:

Registered Student Organizations are invited to nominate students for the 2019 Homecoming Court through Friday, September 13 at noon. Homecoming Court consists of seven Razorback men and seven Razorback women. From this Court, students will vote on a Homecoming Queen and Homecoming King. All candidates must be nominated by the President or Treasurer of a currently active RSO.

How to Nominate a Candidate:

RSO’s can nominate candidates on HogSync. Nominations are due by noon on Friday, September 13th. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted. Each RSO can nominate up to three candidates for the Queen’s Court and three candidates for the King’s Court. However, each candidate can only carry one RSO’s nomination into the process. A candidate cannot apply multiple times under different RSO nominations. Each nominee must meet co-curricular eligibility requirements. RSO’s must be registered for the 2019-2020 academic year or complete the new registration process prior to the closing of Homecoming Court Nominations.

Candidate Applications:

All candidates will be required to attend a mandatory candidate information session on Sunday, September 15 at 6pm in the Reynolds Center Auditorium (RCED 120). All candidates who meet co-curricular eligibility requirements will receive an application link to complete the application form. This application is due by noon on Monday, September 23. Any candidate who experiences technical difficulties with the form should contact the Office of Student Activities prior to the deadline. Applications will only be accepted from candidates nominated by an RSO in the RSO nomination process.

Candidate Review and Interview Process

The 2019 Homecoming Queen’s and King’s Court applications will be reviewed and the Top 20 male and female applicants will be notified and asked to sign up for a slot in the second round interview process. The Top 20 Queen and King Candidates will be honored by Chancellor Steinmetz on October 10th at the Top 20 Reception. The Top 12 will be announced during this reception. The Top 12 applicants will participate in a third round of interviews. A mandatory Homecoming Court Orientation will also be conducted prior to the start of campaigning.

The 2019 Homecoming Court will be announced on Thursday, October 24 between 8:00pm-11:00pm at the 8th Annual Chancellor’s Ball held at The Graduate Hotel.
