Summary:
Despite advancements in healthcare, disparities persist in maternal and child health outcomes globally hindering achievement of Sustainable Development Goals. Community-led approaches hold promise for improving these outcomes by empowering communities to identify and address their unique needs. Drawing on findings from three collaborative projects with Public Health Research Institute of India, Dr. Madhivanan's talk will explore the value of community engagement in maternal and child health (MCH) research and interventions in under resourced, rural settings. Community-led approaches can bridge the gap between research and action in MCH. By actively engaging communities, we can develop more effective and sustainable solutions to improve maternal and child health outcomes.
