Students with Refugees invites students to attend Advocacy Awareness Day on Thursday, December 1 at Noon in the Arkansas Union International Connections Lounge. Open to all University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students, Advocacy Awareness Day will give students the chance to better understand advocacy efforts. While this event will focus on refugee advocacy, students will receive skills that are applicable to all advocacy efforts, including interpersonal, political, and social media-based advocacy. All attendees will receive one service hour through GivePulse and the first 100 to complete the program will also receive a catered lunch.

This event is open only to University of Arkansas students. Students will not be required to purchase or reserve tickets. However, the event will end at 4:00 p.m. or when supplies run out, which is estimated to be 100 student attendees.

This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently-enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee. This event is held in a venue that meets ADA standards. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend this event.
