Faculty, staff and students are invited to join Chancellor Charles Robinson and other campus leaders this Friday, Sept. 13 at the Arkansas Union from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. as we celebrate a successful start to the new academic year with a block party.

Hosted by the Office of the Chancellor and Student Affairs, the event offers an opportunity to celebrate a new year, as well as recent successes like record enrollment and record graduation rates, while also taking in some “sooieet” cake.

The block party will take place on the Arkansas Union mall. Cake, soda and sunglasses will be available free for attendees while supplies last.

This semester, the U of A welcomed a record 33,610 students and the second-largest freshman class with 6,614 students. The Office of Strategic Analytics and Insights completes a census report on the 11th day of classes each fall and will provide additional reporting about the campus community in the coming days.
