This event highlights the life and legacy of a local pioneer, Dr. John L. Colbert, who was the first African American principal and superintendent in Fayetteville. DayVision Productions along with English and African American literature professor, Dr. Jarvis Young, will host a screening of Dr. Colbert's life in honor of Black history month on Friday, February 7th at 6pm in the Union Theatre. The event will include a Q&A with Dr. Young and the film's director, Michael Day, immediately after the screening. This event is open to all students and campus affiliates, as well as the local Fayetteville community.
