Please join us for discussion with two expert virtual panelists on how the COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted women in academia, including mothers and those with disabilities.
Presenters include Dr. Gema Zamarro Rodriguez, Professor in Education Reform and Economics here at the U of A, and Dr. Kathryn Wagner, Department of Psychology, Gallaudet University. Dr. Zamarro's research includes gender and education impacts of the current pandemic, and has been featured in the Washington Post, New York Times, USA Today, and more. Dr. Wagner has researched the impact of COVID-19 on academic mothers with disabilities, and she specializes in LGBTQ healthcare issues.
All are welcome. Pizza and refreshments will be served afterward. RSVP is appreciated to help plan for food, but not required - even if you forget, please feel free to come ! There is no cost to attend.
