What is Denim Day?  It began when the Italian Supreme Court overturned a rape conviction, rationalizing the victim’s jeans were tight, so she must have helped to remove them, implying consent. Next day, Italian Parliament’s women wore jeans, sparking a movement.

Why do we wear denim? This day of action and awareness is a reminder that no matter what you wear, consent is never implied.  Come join the Campus Sexual and Relationship Violence Center (SRVC), Office of Student Accountability and Title IX in combating victim blaming and educating fellow students about sexual and relationship violence.
