Please join us for a guest lecture by Rodney Roberts, who was wrongfully incarcerated in New Jersey for a crime he did not commit. The Innocence Project was instrumental in his release and exoneration appeals and he was released in 2014. Rodney will discuss his case, exoneration, and experience within the criminal justice system. His is one of 2,768 exonerations that have occurred since 1989, where individuals have lost more than 24,690 years of their lives to incarceration. Their stories and experiences are important to hear to learn about issues in our criminal justice system, how we can improve it, and prevent this from occurring in the future.
