Pat Walker Health Center’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is hosting a film showing of “It’s Real: College Students and Mental Health” on Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the University Theatre outside of the Multicultural Center. Refreshments will be served. 

 

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)-produced film is designed to raise awareness about mental health issues commonly experienced by students. This 17-minute film encourages students to be mindful of the state of their mental health, to acknowledge and recognize when they are struggling, and to take steps to seek help. 

 

The event will commence at 4:30 p.m. providing food and time to mingle until 5:00 p.m. The movie screening will begin at 5:00 p.m. followed by group discussions and questions after.
