About this Event
550 N. Garland Ave., Fayetteville, AR
The Japanese Students Association would like to welcome everyone to attend our Otsukimi (moongazing) event where we will honor the harvest moon as a precursor to the annual Aki Matsuri (fall festival). Otsukimi represents the hope for a good harvest, and traditionally, people gather in places where the moon is fully visible and partake in autumnal or round foods, display rabbit or pampas grass decorations, and do social activities such as poetry. This event will take place on Wednesday, November 20th at Holcombe Hall Livingroom from 5pm-7pm. Mochi (matcha, chocolate, red bean, and strawberry flavors available), green tea, and konpeito (star candies) will be provided along with fun activities such as rabbit origami and poetry reciting!
