Lily Hollinden is a painter currently based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She received her BFA from Indiana University Bloomington in 2019 and is currently pursuing her MFA at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
In the Performance Of A Lifetime: Pepper Plinkett by Lily Hollinden is a MFA thesis exhibition featuring painted works alongside small-scale ceramic sculpture. This exhibition features Hollinden’s alter ego character, Pepper Plinkett the clown, and follows this character as she experiences the timeless world around her. Hollinden’s work can be described as vibrant, playful, and sarcastic. Her interest in human nature, specifically in the context of the animal world, alongside the communicative tool of comedy, are some of the main inspirations behind this body of artwork.
All are invited to view this exhibition April 1-12 and attend the reception April 5 from 5-7 p.m. at the Studio and Design Center in the Windgate Art and Design District, 696 W. Praxis Lane, Fayetteville.
