The Office of Nationally Competitive Awards will host an informational session to discuss the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program. The session will take place Monday, August 24th, at 4:30pm in Silas Hunt Hall, room 223 (the upstairs tour room). Discussion will cover the basics of the fellowship as well as specifics and tips about the application process.

The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program offers funding for those planning to attend graduate school in a STEM related discipline. Fellowships typically include a $37,000 annual stipend and a $16,000 per year education allowance for up to 3 years. To be eligible for the NSF GRFP, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident planning to enroll in a research-based master’s or doctoral program. Current graduate students may also be eligible if they have completed no more than one year of graduate study and do not already possess a terminal degree.
