Women teaching assistants from across campus are invited to attend this Lunch and Learn sponsored by the Center for Communication Research. The event will address the double binds women teaching assistants may confront when instructing in the college classroom. Keynote remarks will be provided by Dr. Lori Holyfield, an award-winning professor in the Department of Sociology & Criminology. Zoë Anastosopolos, a graduate student and a TA in the Department of Communication, will present a summary of her qualitative case study on the credibility-related experiences of women TAs at the University of Arkansas. Attendees will also have a chance to connect with one another by sharing their experiences and teaching tips.
