The Model United Nations team will be hosting a panel with three Arkansas Alumni who have gone on to internationally focused careers. Dr. Lisa Pruitt who worked as a gender consultant to the International Criminal Tribunal for the Rwandan Genocide, Madi Franquiz who is a founding member of the World Literacy Task Force operating under the United Nations SDG 4 and currently serve as its first Youth Ambassador whilst also being a CEO of a non-profit, and Olivera Jankovska who worked for UNICEF 101, global citizenship, UNICEF Kid Power, children's rights and peace-building, trick-or-treat for UNICEF, health and nutrition, gender equity and social inclusion, UNICEF's response to emergencies, human trafficking and child protection, innovation in development, sustainable development goals, Macedonia and South-Eastern Europe, and water, sanitation and hygiene. Not only are these women impressive in every meaning of the world, but they are also University of Arkansas Alumni. They will discuss their experiences working for the United Nations and students will be able to ask questions. The event will be open to the public.
