Event Description:
DESCRIPTION: Travel with this class to Point Lookout, Missouri to the campus of the College of the Ozarks. C of O is a tuition-free college, for those without funds, where every full-time student works at a campus job to help defray expenses. The Wall Street Journal describes C of O as one of the most unusual little liberal arts colleges in the country. At the beautiful Keeter Center, enjoy a visual campus tour and historical presentation by students. A tour of the inspirational military exhibit within the center will then be a patriotic enhancement, after which, a DUTCH TREAT lunch or dessert may be a welcome interlude. A class finale will be a perusal of the gift shop. There one will find items made by students – food delicacies and a variety of unique handmade items. Dont miss the inspirational story of a mans dream to education for all and how that dream blossomed and came to fruition.
