Join Mike Sypult, local train historian, to take a step back in time to see where the railroads ran, learn about the personalities involved in the expansion and enjoy historic photos and maps of area railroads and railroaders. From the 1880s to the present, see how today’s Northwest Arkansas railroads continue to be a vital part of the local economy.

In the second session the class will take a trip aboard the Arkansas Missouri passenger train that runs from Springdale to Van Buren and back.

The second session is an all day excursion/ train ride. Cost of rail tickets is in the cost of class.
