Join this class and be introduced to the “Golden Decade” of Hot Springs, Arkansas in the 1930’s to 1960’s. Learn the riveting revelation of past history and the town’s evolution to today’s quiet, forgotten capital of vice. Travel with us through this unforgettable era and shudder over the organized crime as we revisit the trajectory from a town of illegal casinos, backroom brothels, and the country’s most notorious criminals. Learn how this sleepy Southern town became home to a veteran’s hospital, to baseball Spring training, and supported the elevation of Babe Ruth, Bill Clinton and other notables. As we relive the by-gone era of vice and corruption, we will commiserate with those who risked their political careers to restore respect to the southern town of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
