The David and Barbara Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History documents and preserves the stories told by those who have experienced and influenced Arkansas history firsthand. Meet the staff of the Pryor Center and tour the facility on the Fayetteville Square. The staff will talk about the twenty-one year history of the center, describe what they do, and show video clips from some of their interviews along with recently digitized film and video footage from the KATV News Archives. They will also talk about the radio segments that are produced and aired weekly on KUAF ’s Ozark’s at Large. The staff will discuss the expanded mission of the Pryor Center since joining the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences and talk about upcoming projects. Class participants will learn how they can join in the preservation of Arkansas stories. *NOTE : Due to regulations put in place by the Pryor Center, all those who choose to participate in this lecture MUST be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
