The School of Art of the University of Arkansas and the Graphic Design Area welcomes Jeroen Spoelstra, Dutch designer and co-founder of the Life-Centered Design School in the Spanish Pyrenees. He will lead this hands-on community workshop on life-centered design at The Ramble (Fayetteville's newest park right in the middle of the Razorback Greenway). Participants will imagine how to give nature a voice in design processes through making a Non-Human Persona. They will also prototype design artifacts that help community members connect with this Non-Human persona and act more sustainably, together. - This workshop is FREE!- Open to the NWA communities and everyone at the University of Arkansas- We will provide workshop materials. Note: Depending on the weather on March 01, 2024, the workshop will start either at the Studio & Design Center or directly at The Ramble. We will send registered participants an email the morning of March 01 with exact instructions about where we will gather at 3 pm.
