Tango\, which comes from the metropolitan city of Buenos Aires \, encompasses a lifestyle shared amongst different generations\, social c lasses and racial identities. You become a part of our exten ded artistic family.\n\nOur current production\, Furia Tanguera\, follows the format of the traditional Casa de Tango shows seen in Buenos Aires plu s the inclusion of a traditional ballet folklorico. Furia Tanguera explore s the different moods of Buenos Aires\, also known as “la cuidad de la f uria” (the city of fury). Argentine tango and folklore traditions explor e human emotions and relationships with complexity and subtlety and most i mportantly\, care. The artists take you on a journey from whimsy through j oy\, from regret to rage\, and finally to hope. Our beautiful dancers brin g you into their dance embrace and our virtuosic singers guide you through the current of complex human emotions.\n\nPatagonia Tango Company is born from the creative partnership of Romina Rodriguez-Crosta and Oscar Mansil la\, both dancers since childhood and equally passionate about Argentina a nd her cultural traditions. Oscar and Romina met in Buenos Aires training under the master teachers Leandro Oliver and Laila Rezk\, and kept up prof essional acquaintances from 2017-2020 with Oscar living in Argentina and R omina in Los Angeles\, CA. During the pandemic\, they joined the inaugural company of La Casa de Tango in Dubai\, the first and only tango show in D ubai. In 2021 they relocated to Los Angeles where they quickly attracted a group of very enthusiastic amateur students interested in learning tradit ional tango stage choreography. This group of eager students formed the fo undation of Patagonia Tango Company\, a group that stood out for the good vibes of the members. It was a project that blossomed naturally in the vac uum left by the global pandemic. The early days of Patagonia filled the ne ed for community\, connection and purpose of a world returning back to nor mal. Over the next several years\, Patagonia evolved into a professional d ance company featuring higher and higher level artists and events. Now Pat agonia is a world class dance company that keeps at its heart the commitme nt to community and human connection.
