About this Event
The Iranian Students Association (ISA) at the University of Arkansas is hosting its annual Norouz Celebration on March 17, 2025, from 5 to 8 PM in the Verizon Ballroom at the Arkansas Union. Norouz, meaning "New Day," marks the Persian New Year, an ancient festival that symbolizes renewal, hope, and the arrival of spring.
This year’s event will feature an exciting lineup of performers, including stand-up comedian K-Von, Persian dance artist Yekta Kamali, and live music by Koubeh Band. Attendees will experience an evening filled with traditional Persian music, dance, laughter, and authentic cuisine, immersing themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Iran.
The celebration is open to University of Arkansas students, offering a unique opportunity to learn about Persian traditions and enjoy a vibrant community gathering. As Norouz is the most significant cultural event of the year for Persians, attendees are encouraged to dress in formal or semi-formal attire to honor the occasion.
