About this Event
435 Garland Ave, Fayetteville, AR 72701
Plaza de las Americas will feature music, dancing, food and more in a celebration of Latin American and Spanish-speaking cultures in Arkansas. Guests are invited to visit booths representing various Latin American and Spanish-speaking countries. The cultural and educational event provides campus and community members with an opportunity to learn about other cultures.
Exhibit booths will be open from 4-5 p.m., as event volunteers share cultural items or photos to help attendees better visualize the Latin American and other Spanish speaking cultures. Attendees can also visit "tertulia" tables to have conversations and play games with fluent Spanish speakers.
Music and performances will be held from 5:15-6 p.m., including a small dance party, Baile. During Baile, attendees will learn different types of Latin American dances.
This event is sponsored by the office of International Students and Scholars, World Languages, Latino and Latinx Studies, La Oficina Latino, and University Housing and the Latino Alumni Society
