DESCRIPTION:The Division of Research and Innovation is hosting a series of 
 research funding workshops for on-campus investigators this semester. This
  workshop will focus on pitching your research to specific types of audien
 ces. Dr. Cynthia Sides will lead the workshop\, focusing on factors to con
 sider when describing your research and how to craft your communications t
 o maximize your research points. They will offer specific steps to follow 
 and questions to answer when pitching research ideas. \n\n \n\nAttendees s
 hould bring a technical short paragraph (half page maximum) describing the
 ir research to an abstract reviewer for a national conference in their fie
 ld and be prepared to workshop their descriptions with Dr. Sides and the w
 orkshop attendees. The workshop will be interactive\, so we ask that parti
 cipants be prepared to engage with their descriptions in real time.  All U
 niversity of Arkansas faculty and staff involved in research funding on ca
 mpus are welcome to attend.
