DESCRIPTION:The U of A School of Law will host a Celebration of Life to hon
 or the life and legacy of Emeritus Professor Robert (Bob) Laurence\, who p
 assed away on June 21\, 2024. A reception will follow the celebration. \n\
 n \n\nAttendees will have the opportunity to share their favorite\, funny 
 “Laurenceisms” during open mic time.  Please RSVP to law@uark.edu if y
 ou plan to come and let us know if you would like to speak. The celebratio
 n will also be livestreamed.  Family\, friends\, colleagues and former stu
 dents are also encouraged to send photos or a video tribute to law@uark.ed
 u. \n\n \n\nLaurence joined the School of Law faculty in 1981 where he was
  later named the Robert A. Leflar Professor of Law. In 2002\, he was appoi
 nted to the rank of Distinguished Professor. He retired from the law schoo
 l in 2007 but continued to teach equine law in the U of A Department of An
 imal Science. He was widely published in both scholarly journals as well a
 s popular outlets.
