The School of Art is thrilled to welcome designer Tyler Moore to the fall Visiting Lecture Series on October 17 at Hillside Auditorium 202 at 5:30 p.m. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Tyler is the Senior Director of Design at eBay in Seattle, where he leads a diverse team of designers, strategists, engineers, and writers working to unify product and brand through a global unified design language. His team includes experts in product design, design systems, brand strategy & design, content, motion, 3D, and sound design, all collaborating to shape eBay’s design vision.
With 25 years of experience in design and creative leadership, Tyler specializes in developing brand systems, translating concepts into product visions, and creating seamless, human-centered experiences. He believes that design can improve lives, transform businesses, and shape culture.
Before eBay, Tyler was the Design Director at Amazon’s Device Design Group, where he developed a unified design language for Alexa devices. Prior to that, he co-founded MM, spending 17 years leading a team that delivered holistic brand solutions and products for global clients such as Microsoft, Nokia, Amazon, and Founders Fund.
Tyler holds a BFA in Design from The Hoogschool voor de Kunst en Utrecht in The Netherlands, where he studied branding, product design, and screen printing. This multidisciplinary approach became foundational to Tyler’s innovative problem-solving methodology in design.
