 ies in the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design and in partnership 
 with the University of Arkansas Libraries.\n\n \n\nKennedy\, a Fellow of t
 he American Institute of Architects (FAIA)\, is an American architect\, in
 novator and educator. She is a professor of architecture at the Massachuse
 tts Institute of Technology and a founding principal of Kennedy & Violich 
 Architecture\, Ltd. (KVA)\, with her partner Frano Violich\, FAIA\, in Bos
 ton\, Massachusetts. \n\n \n\nIn her lecture\, “Collective Energies: Arc
 hitecture for a Shared Social and Ecological Commons\,” Kennedy will ask
  if and how architecture might offer spaces\, strategies and respite from 
 the current culture of divisiveness. \n\n \n\nKennedy will present a set o
 f architectural works that are designed to support a shared social and eco
 logical commons. Projects included in the lecture are collective spaces fo
 r interdisciplinary research in university buildings\, public spaces that 
 engage and integrate the forces of nature\, and residential mass timber bu
 ildings constructed with wood that is community supported and locally sour
 ced from forest lands. \n\n \n\nThis lecture is open to the public. Admiss
