Presentation title: Breaking Barriers: Strategies for Inclusive Learning in Engineering
Sharniece Holland is a native of St. Louis who joined Washington University in St. Louis in 2019. She previously worked as a post-doctoral fellow in mechanical engineering at Auburn University. She received a BS in mathematics from Alabama State University, an MA in mathematics, and a PhD in materials science from the same university. The Southern Regional Education Board Dissertation Scholar Fellowship supported her studies in Alabama, Alabama NASA EPSCoR Graduate Research Scholars Program, The National Science Foundation: Bridge to Doctorate Fellowship, and The National Science Foundation: Alabama Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Program Scholarship. She also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and coordinates two summer research programs for disadvantaged undergraduates.
