As part of the 2023 UArk Jazz Festival, two jazz ensembles and an open jam session are planned for its opening night. The Voice Ensemble, under the direction of Professor Lauren Clare performs at 5:00pm. The Latin American Ensemble, under the direction of Professor Fernando Valencia performs at 7:30pm. Finally, the UArk jazz faculty host an open jam session for the community at 9;30pm.

The festival is presented by the UArk Jazz Area, Arkansas Center for Black Music, and the Northwest Arkansas Jazz Society.

Session is open to the public and all events are free.
