Join the Young Democrats for a conversation with Diana Gonzales Worthen, the first Hispanic woman elected to the Arkansas Legislature (District 9).

A Springdale native, Diana is a lifelong educator, the co-founder of the Hispanic Women’s Organization of Arkansas, and the granddaughter of immigrants from San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Her life work is access – access to literacy, access to higher education, access to healthcare and mental resources, and access to quality jobs.

Following her historic win last Tuesday, Diana will discuss her campaign, career, and goals moving forward.

Another Springdale educator – Victor Roja – will also speak on his experience with Democratic organizations, running for office, chairing a county party, and serving on Gov. Mike Beebe’s Juvenile Justice Board.

There will also be time allotted to debrief the 2024 election results and discuss methods of political involvement moving forward.

Head to Mullins 453 on Tuesday, November 12th, at 7:00 p.m. for this event!
